1st shift full-time opportunity with Luther Manor Luther Manor is seeking a Volunteer Services Coordinator. As a Volunteer Services Coordinator, organizes and directs the volunteer program to ensure the recruitment, utilization, and support of volunteers. Provide oversight and management of the volunteer program for Luther Manor. Building strong partnerships both inside and outside of the organization and to market, recruit, place and retain a diverse and energized group of dedicated volunteer resources. The Volunteer Services Coordinator will work to expand the number of volunteer opportunities and ensure that vital Luther Manor operations are appropriately staffed in order to meet organization's mission and vision. Essential Job Functions:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. * Effective leadership and team building skills required: ability to work with a wide variety of individuals by using tact, diplomacy and flexibility required. * Good organizational skill required * Critical thinking and problem-solving skills required. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Working knowledge of best practices in volunteer coordination. * Recruiting, screening, and training experience. * Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative work environment and promoting teamwork. * 5 Plus years of successful volunteer administration and/or relationship management preferred but not mandatory. * Strong management and supervisorial skills. * Experience managing volunteers. * Strong scheduling, follow-up and interpersonal skills. * Proven ability to work steadily and independently with minimum supervision. * Knowledge of methods related to the conduct of volunteer programs for non-profit organizations. * Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed for events, volunteer support, and departmental operations. * Ability to safely lift and move donated items and light furniture, including boxes and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds. | |
