HealthPartners is hiring a Health Information Identity Analyst. The Health Information Management Identity Analyst will maintain the integrity of the enterprise master patient index (EMPI), which includes analyzing and resolving patient identification issues generated by the Epic Identity application and reported by end users. This position will serve as a resource for all business units and must be able to provide issue resolution, training, and technical support. Monday-Friday; 8:00am-4:30pm. This is a remote position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Bachelors in HIM, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
- 2 years' experience with data analysis, HIM, or related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Maintains strong working knowledge of systems and applications needed to perform duties.
- Keeps up to date on electronic applications by attending training for new/existing applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Bachelors in HIM, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
- 2 years' experience with data analysis, HIM, or related experience.
- Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
- RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) or RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator (credentialed).

- Maintains strong working knowledge of systems and applications needed to perform duties.
- Keeps up to date on electronic applications by attending training for new/existing applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- (70%) - Completes patient merges, unmerges, incomplete merges, and commingled chart correction issues by performing complex data analysis. Such as, analyzing Epic Record Viewer demographic history, Epic registration audit trail, Care Everywhere, and Research Study data, past conversion history, patient chart encounters, patient snapshot data, media scans, previous merges and overlays, etc. using Epic (HP and PN Legacy), LexisNexis-Accurint, AHFPRD (HP Membership), and Medipac archive database. Performs comprehensive patient chart analysis to identify, validate and resolve existing overlay and merge errors and to resolve patient fraud and billing disputes in Epic. Analyzes and makes corrections regarding patient data integrity issues within the patient database and notifies downstream systems, departments, and Epic module owners of patient contact moves and unmerges. Maintains multiple spreadsheets for daily work volumes, task details, and productivity for monthly reporting.
- (10%) - Monitors and resolves incoming interface error workqueues. External ID Bundles (A&A rosters), Gillette, Virtuwell, ADT Resequence, Regency, Ridgeview Medical Center, Incoming Messages workqueue for patient continuity of care and patient workqueues including duplicates, mark for merge and overlays and others as implemented.
- (10%) - Partners with the HIM Manager and/or Supervisor regarding special projects, coverage, and reporting, as well as participating in workgroups as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
- (10%) - Rotates on-call pager coverage for supporting end user reported issues via the Support Center software, 24/7.
