Job Description

Pay Rate: $18.75 per hour

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am)

Essential Job Functions:



  • Establish and maintain a good working team/crew.
  • Perform forklift driver's responsibilities: dump chicks, monitor chick placement, maintain forklifts to meet company performance and safety standards, monitor and enforce company and department safety standards and monitor job performance.
  • Relive crew supervisor as needed, fill out and distribute Brooder crew schedule, collect timecards when needed, train and evaluate new hires.
  • Communicate with management, field supervisors and ranch personnel, adhere to all company Policies, MSDS procedures, JSTA guild lines, Bio-Security and Disease prevention regulations.
  • Ability to work at other ranches/complexes as needed.

Qualifications:


  • Must have a valid Class C driver's license with a clean DMV printout.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Must possess a license to drive a forklift.
  • Must be motivated to work independently as needed with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to keep good equipment records.
  • Must be able to understand and follow MSDS and JSTA guidelines
  • Must be able to trouble-shot, diagnose equipment and give feedback as needed.
  • Must be able to crouch, bend and lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Must follow company animal welfare, attendance policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check.
