The Role

As we continue to grow as one QuidelOrtho we are seeking a Warehouse Stockkeeper II to work in our manufacturing facility in Rochester, NY. The Warehouse Stockkeeper II will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to receive, distribute, assemble and store incoming materials, products, supplies and equipment into storage or user departments.

The Responsibilities
  • Unloads and loads delivery trucks at multiple docks.

  • Organizes incoming products for verification against shipping documentation.

  • Processes a high volume of goods and supplies including unpacking, verifying, labeling and distributing to appropriate locations.

  • Reviews and pulls items needed to fill each order.

  • Maintain and verify tracking records for supplies received and dispensed.

  • Records location information in appropriate log.

  • Assist in inventory audits and submits audit data to supervisor.

  • Exercises extreme care in handling storing and disposing of hazardous and nonhazardous material in compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements.

  • Performs general housekeeping duties such as sweeping, disposing of packing materials and garbage, and other related tasks.

  • Operates material handling equipment (dollies, pallet jack, forklift).

  • High level of discretion and good judgment to ensure appropriate labeling of product and supplies

  • Inspects products received to ensure product meets quality specification, verify shipping conditions and standards as noted in Product Management System (SAP).

  • Prepares accurate records/documentation related to receipt of materials and storage of materials.

The Individual

Required:

  • High School Diploma, GED.

  • Proven experience with SAP.

  • Uses computer to access product management system, time entry, on-line learning.

  • Uses basic equipment or hand tools to perform job as necessary.

  • Recognizes unacceptable product quality and takes appropriate actions.

  • OT as required by the organization.

  • Basic math and computational skills.

The Key Working Relationships

Internal Partners: Operations, Maintenance, Facilities, Quality and Environmental Health & Safety, Quality and Regulatory

External Partners: Suppliers and Service Providers

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods. Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of materials up to 50 lbs.

Comfortable working in varying temperatures and warehouse environments.

The Work Environment

The work environment characteristics are representative of a manufacturing, laboratory, or warehouse environment and include the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and be able to lift 10 - 15lbs. Regularly handle chemicals for use in final release testing of laboratory analyzers to customers. Flexibility in work schedule, along with off hours support and coverage as necessary. The use of PPE as required by work area. Maintains and ensures neat and orderly work areas. Up to 10% travel over (Domestic / International as needed). Could require up to 50% travel for short durations during commissioning of new equipment at suppliers.

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $118,000 and is bonus eligible. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
