CITY OF BIG BEAR LAKE Invites applications for the position of Base Hourly Pay Range $28.42$34.55 *City Application Required* EXCELLENT CAREER OPPORTUNITY IN A BEAUTIFUL MOUNTAIN THE POSITION THE IDEAL CANDIDATE A successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, customer service, teamwork, and public service. They should be able to follow written and verbal instructions, communicate effectively with coworkers and the public, troubleshoot maintenance issues, and work both independently and collaboratively. The ideal candidate will be dependable, adaptable, and capable of performing heavy physical labor while maintaining a positive attitude and a high level of professionalism. QUALIFICATIONS (The following are the minimal qualifications necessary for entry into the classification.) Education/Experience: A High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one (1) year experience in public works related construction and street maintenance work is required. Physical ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. This position requires both indoor and outdoor work; conditions vary from hot to extremely cold temperatures. Requires considerable customer service provided in a professional and effective manner. License/Certificate: Possession of a valid class B California driver license (with a relevant endorsement), is required. The Citys retirement formula is 2% @ 55 with prior qualifying public service or effective January 1, 2013 the formula is 2.5% @ 67 for new participants.
