Data Center Technician (IT Operations) We are seeking motivated and hands-on Data Center Technicians to join a high-performing team supporting critical infrastructure environments. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical setting where precision, problem-solving, and teamwork are essential. As a Data Center Technician, you will play a key role in deploying, maintaining, and optimizing data center hardware and network systems that power large-scale operations. What You'll Do * Prepare, stage, set up, and support startup/shutdown activities for data center hardware including racks, servers, hard drives, and network switches * Execute tasks following detailed procedures, checklists, and deployment standards * Perform quality assurance checks to ensure proper grounding, labeling, cabling, and overall installation accuracy * Troubleshoot hardware and network issues, identify root causes, and replace faulty components * Support hardware decommissioning activities including upgrades, refreshes, and rebuilds * Document work, track progress, and escalate issues to technical leads as needed * Maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance, and operational excellence What We're Looking For * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent * 1+ year of experience in data center environments (rack & stack, cabling, deployments, or decommissioning) * Basic knowledge of server hardware, infrastructure components, and networking * Experience with structured cabling and low voltage installations * Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word) * Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to follow technical procedures Required Certification * TLV-G (Low Voltage General Technician) License, issued by the Department of Fire Prevention and Electrical Safety * Candidates must currently hold this license or be able to obtain it in a short timeframe Preferred Qualifications * Experience working in large-scale or enterprise data center environments * Prior exposure to hyperscale or cloud infrastructure operations * Flexibility to support a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays Why Join Us * Work on cutting-edge infrastructure that powers global technology * Gain hands-on experience with advanced data center operations * Be part of a team that values precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement * Opportunities for growth and skill development in a rapidly expanding field If you're someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career in data center operations. #MPipe26 Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Cheyenne, WY.
