As a Security Officer Access Gate in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a residential location where you will help manage access control, greet residents and guests, and monitor entry activity to support a welcoming, secure environment. In this role, you will remain visible, assist with security-related concerns, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or staff by following site-specific access procedures, visitor protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, issue access credentials as directed, and document visitor, delivery, and contractor activity in accordance with property policies.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related matters to property management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Complete required logs, reports, and communication records related to access control, incidents, and daily activity while maintaining a professional presence and courteous interactions at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
