Scope of Position

Watts Water Technologies is seeking a highly motivated, experienced accountant to join its Americas accounting team in the role of Senior Accountant. The candidate will play an integral part in the Watts' internal and external financial reporting processes and will be part of the general ledger accounting team.

This role will be hybrid in North Andover, reporting to the Sr. Manager.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of monthly journal entries and detailed account reconciliations

  • Responsible for maintaining assigned balance sheet accounts in compliance with related accounting policies, etc.

  • Participate in monthly reporting to HFM such as loading monthly trial balance and supplemental data forms

  • Meets with team and Manager to review and analyze their accounting reports and balance sheet analytical reporting

  • Track performance against budget and forecasts and explain variances for certain operating expenses

  • Assist and support SAP implementation

  • Assist with QAD system reporting process improvements

  • Assist with continuous process improvement

  • Maintain certain SOX control documentation related to internal controls over financial reporting and participate in annual SOX testing requirements

  • Responsible for preparation of Audit Schedules as well as other analyses for the year-end audit

  • Assists the manager with the preparation and implementation of accounting policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 5+ years' working in Accounting field

  • Experience with large, manufacturing,multi-national, public corporations

  • Previous General Ledger experience required, SAP Experience required, large ERP system experience, QAD experience a plus

  • Excellent system and computer skills, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)

  • Strong Excel skills including: vlookup, sumifs, pivot tables, ability to effectively manipulate and organize large amounts of data

  • Superior organization skills, ability to multi-task and re-arrange priorities as needed, monitor workflow in meeting critical deadline and project timetables

  • Self-motivated, problem solver, strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Team player, strong communication skills

  • High Level of analytic and quantitative skills

  • Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills are essential

  • Must be flexible and able to accurately work under time constraints and deadlines

  • Travel up to 10%

Working Conditions

While performing the job duties, you will be working in an office environment. You will be required to work in the office at the North Andover location three days per week (Monday - Wednesday) and can work remotely two days per week (Thursday and Friday).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods.

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.

  • Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials.

  • Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks.

  • Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls.

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.

  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.

Pay Range

The expected salary range for this position is $95,000- $106,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
