Position description

Junior Specialist - Department of Neurological Surgery

Assist with day-to-day research activities in a translational neuroscience and neurovascular laboratory, including literature reviews, data collection and analysis, study coordination, regulatory documentation, and preparation of manuscripts, abstracts, presentations, and grant materials. The Junior Specialist will support preclinical research projects, maintain laboratory records and databases, and collaborate with faculty, trainees, and research staff on ongoing investigations. No supervisory responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., neuroscience, biomedical engineering, biology, public health, or related field) by the time of hire.
  • Applicants' materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Strong organizational and communication skills, experience with scientific writing and data analysis, and interest in translational medical device development, cerebrovascular disease, or neurosurgical research are preferred.


See Table 24B for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $55,000 - $58,600.
