Who we are looking for:

This position will provide leadership, direction, and coordination of all activities for the default functions specific to Breach, pre-foreclosure, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Default Reporting, Property Preservation and Invoice Management in accordance with statutory compliance, regulatory compliance, and company guidelines. This position is responsible for supervising breach letter process, referral and foreclosure timelines and workflow processes on loans eligible for breach, referral, and foreclosure as well as Bankruptcy referrals and timelines in accordance with established work rules, goals & objectives to improve vendor timelines and performance. This position will also oversee Default Reporting, Property Preservation and Invoice Management processes. Overseeing a team of Default Support staff, the candidate will be expected to establish/maintain a culture of team collaboration, accountability, operational excellence, and unwavering commitment to customer service and satisfaction.




  • Location: Onsite in Englewood, CO
  • Compensation: $100-140k + Annual



Key Responsibilities:




  • Monitor delinquent accounts for breach validation and referral review.
  • Monitor delinquent loans for default reporting and property preservation actions.
  • Managing past due and approaching standard FCL and Bankruptcy cases including FNMA, GNMA FHA, VA, USDA & Private Investors.
  • Follow up on all FCL and Bankruptcy actions daily/monthly to ensure investor guidelines and monthly status requirements are within compliance.
  • Monitor Default Reporting daily and ensure proper reporting is done monthly.
  • Monitor Property Preservation reporting to ensure all eligible inspections are done timely and accurately.
  • Monitor Invoice Management process to ensure invoices are reviewed and decisioned within SLA requirements.
  • Responsible for document execution of various financial foreclosure and bankruptcy documents required during the foreclosure process per Federal Compliance standards.
  • Ensure accounts are properly documented with actions taken, correspondence, and explanation of controllable vs non-controllable delays.
  • Knowledgeable in agency, investor, or insurer timelines and documents requirements for judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, bankruptcy processing and inspection requirements.
  • Moving aged accounts to foreclosure sale, addressing low-value properties timely, high balance reviews, lost liens to tax sale, preparing equity analysis with detail and accuracy, meeting timelines on each foreclosure file while closely monitoring attorneys and the overall quality performed on all daily job tasks.
  • Ensure cases have a clear & marketable title throughout the FCL process.
  • Examine FCL and Bankruptcy related expenses as they pertain to investor guidelines including contested/litigation.
  • Prepare bidding instructions for all sales in compliance with investor and insurer guidelines.
  • Ensure the accurate & timely referral to Bankruptcy & Post sale areas.
  • Endorse, certify and report all FCL sale results within 24hrs of sale.
  • Coordinate with Property Preservation department to secure & maintain vacant properties.
  • Working knowledge of mortgage banking, familiarity with RESPA, FDCPA &federal and state laws related to legal.
  • Update databases to ensure information is accurate, complete, and accessible. Maintain records and files. Perform periodic analyses and review of data. Investigate questionable items.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with network of Servicer Appointed and Designated Counsels.
  • Provide mentoring to new staff members, assist in special projects as assigned.



What you'll need to be successful:




  • High School Diploma / GED Required
  • This position requires 2+ years of experience in Foreclosure and or Bankruptcy.
  • This position requires 6+ years of experience in Mortgage Servicing.
  • GSE and Agency Experience preferred.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills a must
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in addition to verbal/written communication in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Ability to multitask, attention to detail and prioritize a diverse workload with time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Knowledge and Understanding of all Black Knight Products as they relate to default preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic computer software programs to include Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet, and Microsoft Outlook.
