Major Projects - Transmission & Substation
Job Summary
Join our Major Projects Transmission & Distribution team to support the successful delivery of large-scale capital projects. This role is responsible for leading or supporting all phases of the project lifecycle-initiation through closeout-ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget execution while meeting stakeholder expectations. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Integration
Lead or support full project lifecycle execution: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & control, and closeout Ensure alignment of project scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives Implement and maintain project scope and configuration management practices Transition completed projects safely and effectively to operations/customers
Cost, Schedule, and Performance Management
Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls Build and maintain detailed project schedules to meet key milestones Track performance using metrics and dashboards; proactively address variances
Risk, Quality & Procurement
Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities using established tools Ensure adherence to quality standards and drive continuous improvement Manage procurement activities, including vendor selection, contracting, and performance oversight
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
Coordinate cross-functional teams, contractors, and external partners Build strong relationships with stakeholders and effectively manage expectations Address conflicts and navigate complex stakeholder environments Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance
Compliance, Governance & Communication
Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and project governance requirements Communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly and effectively to stakeholders Support safety and environmental objectives across all project activities
Qualifications Minimum Requirements (APM Level)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field 2+ years of relevant experience in engineering, construction, or project environments OR 5+ years of related technical/project experience without a degree Foundational knowledge of project management principles (scope, cost, schedule, risk) Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Minimum Requirements (PM Level)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field (preferred) 5+ years of experience managing or leading large capital or infrastructure projects Demonstrated experience managing scope, schedule, cost, and risk on complex projects Proficiency with project management tools (scheduling, cost tracking, risk systems) Proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in utility, transmission & distribution, or large industrial capital projects Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices (PMI or similar) Experience with PMIS systems, scheduling tools, and cost/risk management software PMP or similar certification (for PM level)
Work Environment & Requirements
Ability to work in field environments including noise, dust, extreme temperatures, confined spaces, and other industrial conditions Up to 50% travel may be required Must be able to work flexible hours as project demands require Valid driver's license required

Salary Range*: $96,600.00 - $144,900.00
*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity. Posting Start Date: 2026-06-09
