Position Title: Police OfficerPosition Type: RegularAbout the Role: Job Description SummaryThe university police officer is a member of the University Police Department, which serves and protects the campus community. The officer is responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with the university community; maintaining a secure environment; mitigating safety hazards; being observant and responding to actual and suspected criminal activity on campus; controlling and regulating traffic; and investigating security, safety, crime, and traffic incidents. The university police officer is dedicated to educating, mentoring, and contributing to the success of the university community. Primary Responsibilities
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, the candidate will have positive work and/or life experiences interacting and building strong relationships with people from lots of backgrounds and communities. Officers must also be willing to listen, learn, and seek opportunities to teach while actively supporting and upholding the mission and values of Northern Kentucky University. Posted Salary: Work Environment & Physical Demands: The selected candidate will be required to work 12-hour rotating shifts. Night, weekend, and holiday work is required. | |
