As the Operations Manager, here's the work you'll do:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive staffing plans, ensuring optimal manpower allocation across all production functions. Coordinate daily assignments and dynamically adjust personnel deployment to meet evolving production schedules.
  • Provide expert leadership and mentorship to supervisory teams, guiding operational planning to align with established schedules and budgets. Act as a key problem solver addressing procedural, personnel, equipment, or material challenges that arise during production.
  • Oversee and regulate the production schedule to guarantee on-time delivery, carefully managing workforce and inventory levels to achieve cost efficiency and operational targets.
  • Critically evaluate production performance through detailed analysis of reports, recommending and implementing corrective actions as necessary to uphold quality and schedule commitments. Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of all production facilities and equipment to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Enforce stringent security protocols to maintain the physical security of facilities and safeguard all materials, components, and finished products with an emphasis on accountability and compliance.
  • Lead the orientation and training of new employees and provide ongoing instruction to supervisors on correct operating procedures, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with Human Resources to address employee relations, support workforce development, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace environment.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, enabling efficient data management, reporting, and communication.
  • Strong ability to interpret and apply technical data and documentation to inform decision-making and maintain compliance with manufacturing standards.
  • In-depth understanding of hazardous waste management principles and regulatory requirements to ensure environmental safety and compliance in production activities.
  • Demonstrated experience in production work environments, with a solid foundation in supervisory and management skills, including team leadership, conflict resolution, and operational oversight.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams, manage cross-departmental collaboration, and engage with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Capacity to analyze complex production data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives contributing to operational efficiency and quality enhancement.
And if you have these qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field is required to provide the necessary foundation of knowledge for effective operational leadership.
  • A minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in operations management is essential to demonstrate the ability to lead complex manufacturing environments successfully.
  • Certification in Statistical Process Control (SPC) is mandatory, indicating proficiency in quality control methodologies that ensure consistent production standards.

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $107,000 - $160,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
