TITLE: Industrial Technician



POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Industrial Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment. This will include installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting, equipment breakdowns. Your duties will involve ensuring that production processes run efficiently and safety, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Associates degree in mechanical engineering or similar filed or related certifications preferred
  • Five years of proven experience as an industrial technician or similar role, preferable in a manufacturing environment
  • Willing to work a 2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour shifts with planned day/night rotation
  • Must have own tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
  • Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools used in maintenance and repair work
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to industrial machinery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Equipment Maintenance and Calibration:




    • Perform regular maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment according to manufacturer specifications and company procedures
    • Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components or parts to restore machinery to optimal working condition
    • Calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in production processes.
    • Implement and perform preventative maintenance schedules to prevent breakdowns and prolong the lifespan of machinery




  • Troubleshooting:

    • Identify and diagnose issues with machinery and equipment to restore machinery to optimal working conditions
    • Diagnose malfunctions and determine the best adjustments or repairs


  • Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance
    • Documenting completed work and conditions found, utilizing maintenance computer software as necessary


  • Safety Compliance:



    • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.



  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with other members of the maintenance team as well as production and engineering personnel, to address maintenance issues and improve equipment performance
    • Interacting regularly with external vendors, peers, and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environment.
    • Provide training and guidance to operators and other staff on proper equipment usage and maintenance procedures


  • Continuous Improvement:



    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in equipment operation and maintenance practices





    • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
