Our client, a respected and rapidly growing law firm in Long Beach, is seeking a Case Coordinator Assistant to support their legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on litigation experience while working alongside experienced Case Managers and attorneys in a collaborative environment.

Position Summary

The Case Coordinator Assistant provides litigation and administrative support to Case Managers and legal staff. This role focuses heavily on discovery support, document management, case organization, and maintaining critical deadlines throughout the litigation process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing discovery responses, including FROGs, SROGs, RFPs, and RFAs
  • Organize client documents and prepare discovery production packages
  • Prepare verifications and coordinate electronic signatures
  • Maintain discovery tracking logs and internal deadlines
  • Draft basic legal documents, including dismissals, stipulations, and declarations
  • Assist with mediation, deposition, and trial preparation materials
  • Maintain organized electronic case files and records
  • Upload and manage new cases within the Eve Platform
  • Provide additional litigation and administrative support as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience using the Eve Legal Platform (required)
  • 1-3 years of litigation support, legal assistant, or case management experience preferred
  • Plaintiff-side litigation experience strongly preferred
  • Experience assisting with discovery responses and document production
  • Basic understanding of California civil procedure
  • Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience

  • Plaintiff-side personal injury, habitability, employment, or civil litigation
  • Experience preparing and organizing discovery packages
  • Familiarity with legal document management and electronic filing systems
