*Basic Qualifications:*
* 1+ Year of Hardware Break/Fix Experience including building of personal gaming computers. * Previous hands-on server maintenance support, including performing hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, to ensure optimal system performance. * Must be able to work on your feet for 12 hour days in a data center environment. * Prior Low Voltage experience is a plus. *Description* As a Data Center Technician, you are a primary resolver for your support team, skilled at troubleshooting and resolving most complex hardware infrastructure issues. You create and maintain documentation on technologies you support and are able to effectively passdown knowledge of these technologies to junior staff. You have basic to intermediate system administration skills and, where applicable, are able to take on remote system administration tasks working in a virtual team. You have the ability to automate tasks with scripts when necessary. You work autonomously to resolve most support issues. You are able to execute small projects on your own, and work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects. You act as the initial escalation point for junior technicians. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support. You know how to innovate and make decisions on his/her own, but also know how to take direction when it is given, paying attention to all details involved. *Shift Options: *(Shifts are confirmed mid-way through the first two weeks of training) (First two weeks of training is 8am-5pm M-F Schedule located at the Boardman Site) For the duration of your contract these are the possible shift durations: Sun - Wed (6:00AM to 4:30PM) Sun - Wed (7:30AM to 6:00PM) Sun - Wed (6:00PM to 4:30AM) Sun - Wed (7:30PM to 6:00AM) - Wed - Sat (6:00AM to 4:30PM) Wed - Sat (7:30AM to 6:00PM) Wed - Sat (6:00PM to 4:30AM) Wed - Sat (7:30PM to 6:00AM) *Technical Skills & Qualifications:* Dive Deep: DCO techs must understand power paths, cabling standards, hardware layouts, environmental telemetry, and rootcause behaviors. The job relies heavily on digging into racklevel problems, cabling issues, power anomalies, and equipment behavior at a detailed level. Bias for Action: Data centers run 24/7 and SLA driven. ISP layer infrastructure issues including power faults, cabling failures, thermal excursions, or alarms and must be addressed quickly. Fast, decisive action prevents customer impact and keeps the facility stable. Insist on the Highest Standards: ISP physical layer work (cabling, labeling, patching, rack power installs, inspections) requires precision, cleanliness, accuracy, and compliance. High standards ensure reliability, safety, and audit readiness across the data hall. *Basic Qualifications:* * High school diploma or equivalent * Associates degree in IT-related field or equivalent professional or military experience * Experience in data center operations or related technical field * Industry certifications CompTIA A+, Network+ or Certified Network Defender * Must be able to work on your feet for 10 hour days in a data center environment *Physical Environment and Safety Protocols:* * Must successfully pass through metal detection equipment daily * Required to work in data center environments with variable temperature conditions * Temperature fluctuations dependent on seasonal changes and external weather conditions * Work areas may contain environmental allergens and airborne particles including dust *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Umatilla, OR. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
