Overview We are seeking a customer-focused Software & Application Support Specialist to join a well-established public sector organization in Harrison, NY. In this role you will serve as a primary resource for end users across multiple client sites, helping them navigate, learn, and get the most out of the data processing applications and software systems they rely on every day. What You'll Do * Train clerical and administrative staff on software applications and data processing systems using existing documentation and materials * Provide guidance to client sites on preparing and submitting data for processing * Troubleshoot and resolve application issues via phone and email, escalating complex problems to senior staff as needed * Conduct informal training sessions to help end users become proficient in online and desktop applications * Monitor data processing workflows from initial request through final delivery * Identify and communicate user concerns, problems, and suggestions to appropriate internal teams * Promote awareness and adoption of available data processing services across client sites * Participate as a team member on projects under the direction of senior staff What We're Looking For * 3+ years of experience in application support, technical customer service, or data processing * Strong ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical end users * Experience supporting end users on software applications in a public sector or government environment a strong plus * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site support environment * Public sector experience preferred * Solid understanding of IT concepts and hardware Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elmsford, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
