Job Description We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to work out of a central office location as well as nearby facilities in the greater Dane County area. This role is responsible for repairing and maintaining a large inventory of desktops, laptops, and other PC devices. The technician will also install new equipment to replace end-of-life devices. In addition to hardware support, the technician will manage inventory and ensure proper disposal of outdated equipment through approved recycling processes. Responsibilities include maintaining and closing work orders within the organization's ticketing system. Daily work is performed under the guidance of a Field Technician Manager to ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and methodologies. Additional Details: * The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours as needed). * Strong desktop troubleshooting skills and excellent customer service are essential. * Experience with AV integration is a plus. This position is based at a central office location in Madison, WI, with periodic travel to nearby facilities to assist with projects and support tickets. Travel may occur every few weeks. Mileage reimbursement and travel time compensation are provided, or a company vehicle may be available for those with a strong driving record. Schedule Options: * Four 10-hour days (with one day off per week) * Five 8-hour days * Nine 9-hour days over a two-week period (with one day off every other week) This is a long-term contract opportunity with strong potential for extended engagement.
