Security Officer Access Control Specialist

As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Riverview, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. You may conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and work as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control duties, badge and credential checks, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at the location, verify authorization for personnel, vehicles, and/or deliveries, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or restricted area access concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including gates, parking areas, and other controlled access points, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Support security-related operations within an industrial chemical processing location by helping to deter unauthorized access, maintaining detailed logs, and following post orders and site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
