About the Opportunity:
- Commission and support warranty operations for locomotives and coaches
- Troubleshoot and analyze mechanical and electrical failures
- Perform repairs using mechanical drawings, schematics, and circuit plans
- Use diagnostic software and laptops to assess onboard systems
- Identify root causes of issues and recommend corrective actions
- Document failures, repairs, and modifications in our database
- Implement Field Modifications (FMIs) to enhance product quality
- Communicate effectively with team members, site leads, and managers
- Handle parts returns and repairs (RMA process)
- Operate shop machinery and hand tools in a hands-on environment
- Follow all company and industry safety standards and procedures.

What You'll Do:
- Performs mainly pre-defined, technical tasks (for example, basic commissioning of products and systems, integration of components to a system, basic engineering, maintenance jobs) and work packages on-site and remotely.
- Supports customers remotely and onsite, and provides 2nd and 3rd level user support in case of arising issues.
- Coordinates and accomplishes defined service operations and/or resolves product issues for customers' equipment.
- Supports in generating sales leads for pre-defined service offers and contributes to planning activities.
- Adheres to defined processes and applicable regulations.
- Incumbent is expected to cope, due to experience, with multiple-choice situations in several processes and routines.
- Thinking is about applying/adapting the "right" procedure to a process or an issue arising.
- Unexpected situations need an effective solution.
- Operates with a range of machines and equipment, which require different parameter settings and intensive control of the production process.
- May include automated line production control in a relatively medium complex environment.
- Operates in the set-up, maintenance, repair, and installation of dedicated machines in the production line.
- Deliver full range service in a defined and focused technical area of work, while clear input/output relations and generic and work-specific guidelines and procedures are given or available.
- Position may operate major parts or a full spectrum of dedicated, specialized standard software packages.
- Incumbents may handle routine and non-complex practical enquiries and procedures from internal or external customers.
- Service group worker, serving internal and external customers with technical or administrative standardized services and processes, to complete or add the delivery according to the service level agreed.
- Automated line processing and controlling, or operating with a broader range of production machines in production lines, are examples of this level of work.
What You'll Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in specialized processes, techniques and systems used in office or production environment.
What Sets You Apart:
- Positions need basic level of theoretical and practical know how, skills
- Basic knowledge of principles, procedures, work routines, and skills in the field of work, gained through structured and focused 3-year vocational training period
