USC Institute for Technology and Medical Systems Innovation (ITEMS) is a joint Keck-Viterbi initiative to bridge engineering and medicine to bring about fundamental advances in the general fields of bioengineering, electronic systems, and neuroscience. In collaboration with the Department of Ophthalmology, USC Keck School of Medicine, ITEMS is currently seeking exceptional candidates for the Assistant Professor of Research to join the dynamic team. The candidate's job responsibilities and accountabilities surround the sustainability of extramurally funded research programs. A successful candidate will have experience in designing, submitting, executing, and managing his/her own proposed projects. This individual will also have a strong background in conducting research studies and possess the abilities to translate measurements and associated data to publish peer-reviewed manuscripts, develop grant applications and deliver technical presentations at meetings within and outside of the university.
