Quality Launch Specialist

The Quality Launch Specialist is responsible for coaching and training the Quality Shop Launch Managers (QSLM) and their respective teams at each Vehicle Plant. You will support and standardize Quality Launch processes at Vehicle Plants, driving continuous improvement throughout. This position requires working with cross-functional teams to ensure robust convergence of product quality during industrialization, drives readiness of Quality Shop processes and standards.

Manufacturing Quality & Launch Execution:



  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date program timing information is available across all plants
  • Ensure plant alignment to prioritize and execute critical programs at the appropriate time
  • Define and maintain baseline manufacturing quality requirements for vehicle launches across North America
  • Prepare and distribute weekly Industrial Phase (>X0) launch quality reports for vehicle plants
  • Conduct regular plant reviews and onsite support visits to assess launch readiness and execution
  • Coach Plant Quality teams during active launches to ensure consistent application of KPIs, standards, and best practices
  • Deliver targeted training to Vehicle Quality Shop teams to drive autonomy and execution consistency


Budget, Governance & Reporting:



  • Develop and manage manufacturing quality budget submissions for future vehicle launches
  • Track and control investment allocation, gaptostandard actions, and spend versus plan budgets
  • Maintain clear documentation of launch quality gaps, countermeasures, and investment needs
  • Ensure launch quality activities align with QMS, ISO, and Stellantis requirements
  • Support leadership requests with concise, datadriven analyses and presentations
  • Maintain the Launch Quality SharePoint site as the single source of launch documentation


CrossFunctional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:



  • Partner with VPE, MCE, Manufacturing, Quality, and Launch teams to translate program changes into manufacturing quality requirements
  • Identify and escalate systemic quality risks impacting launch performance or customer experience
  • Provide strategic guidance and support for WPI activities during major program launches
  • Capture, standardize, and deploy launch quality best practices across North American plants


Key Performance Indicators:



  • Internal: SCA, DVx, DRR, EndofLine (EOL), IStatus
  • External: 0 MIS / 1 MIS / 3 MIS Warranty
  • ThirdParty: JD Power IQS, QFS
  • Launch Effectiveness: Float, rework time, SCAtoDVx correlation


Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of related Quality work experience
  • Well versed in Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication, project management and organizational skills
  • Strategic thinker, self-motivated and directed
  • Ability to interact with senior leadership and influence others without direct authority
  • Willingness to travel 20-30%, including International


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Previous experience working in Manufacturing and a unionized environment
  • Knowledge of Stellantis production systems: PFS, My Customer's Voice, CUPs
