The Department of Physics and Astronomy in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher. Under the leadership of Duncan Lorimer, the incumbent in this position will conduct research in the field of Physics & Astronomy. This is a full-time, 9-month, benefits-eligible position. This position will carry out research into pulsars and fast radio bursts (FRBs) using data collected from astronomical instruments and carry out statistical analyses of the datasets to make inferences about the nature of both these sources. Examples of projects include searches for pulsars and FRBs, high-precision timing of pulsars and tests of fundamental physics. Responsibilities
