Sr. Finance Operations Analyst

You'll Support Meaningful Work By:
  • Supporting general accounting activities, including journal entries and US GAAP compliance
  • Partnering with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams to improve processes and performance
  • Analyzing aging reports and financial data to identify risks and trends
  • Managing the company's sales tax process and ensuring compliance
  • Supporting month-end close and meeting deadlines
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements as systems evolve
  • Contributing to cross-functional initiatives that enhance efficiency and accuracy
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-7 years of accounting or related experience
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and US GAAP
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Experience with journal entries and month-end close
  • Basic to intermediate Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups)
  • Experience working with an ERP system
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Well-rounded accounting experience across general accounting, AR, and AP
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills
  • Self-driven with a proactive approach to improving processes
  • ERP experience (Epicor a plus)
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., Power Query) a plus
  • Interest in growth and future leadership opportunities

In compliance with New York City's Human Rights Law, the annual base salary range for this position is $89,000 - $140,000 Please note that salary information is a general guideline only. Steelcase considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
