Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in system design and signalling systems to a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and solution-driven teammates.



  • In the frame of deployment activities for Signalling Projects, the Project Architect is the technical referent of the Project. He / She is in charge of all System activities and is responsible of the QCD on System deliveries.
  • He / She contributes to the project deployment strategy and defines the baselining of the Project. He / She is accountable to define all design choices and to propose the best solution (Customer Oriented and Cost Effective), considering a maximum re-use of existing solutions.
  • In full coordination with the System Application Architect, he / she is the Project technical interface between Platforms and the Customer in order to provide fluidity in the implementation of the delivered System (Project solution).



We'll look to you for:



  • At project launch, check with SAA the gap analysis performed during tender phase


  • Present and promote Alstom solutions to Customers, participate to Questions & Answers sessions proposed by Customers, organize technical meetings with Customer to present and get approval on the additional/rewritten requirements


  • Capture and analyze the Project Technical Requirements


  • Elaborate the System Design of the Project, with the support of SAA and Platforms teams. Ensure that the design choices fulfil the Customer needs, and optimize deployment and maintenance costs.


  • Write the Project System specifications and documents, taking into account architectural, functional, operational, performance, safety, quality, cost and maintainability constraints


  • Define Project Baselines Strategy, by delegation of the PrEM, check that the System Delivery Plan is consistent with the Project Strategy and Platform roadmap, alert and propose mitigation plan.


  • Organize Kick-Off Meeting for each Baseline, by delegation of the PrEM, in order to validate Baseline Scope Freeze


  • Coordinate closely with verification and validation activities, support integration, tests and validation phases.


  • Be the front office of the Project for troubleshooting / root cause identification in all phases of the project


  • Organize Design Reviews with Platform Technical Director for every new Design Choice and provide key elements to demonstrate Design Freeze (through checklists) at PGR. Organize Peer Reviews.


  • Capture Return of Experience and formalize feedback to Platforms to contribute to System evolutions and provide input to improve Reference Library.


  • Support Customer Trainings


  • Optional role: Project Architect may support bids team during the tender phase.

  • Engineering degree or diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or Industrial Control Systems


  • At least 5 years of experience in system design for complex electronic systems


  • Knowledge of signalling systems (highly recommended)


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


  • Autonomous and rigorous with good synthesis and coordination abilities


  • Excellent communication and reporting skills


  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
