General Summary of Position: The UMass Lowell Susan and Alan Solomont School of Nursing (SSON) is seeking an Educational Director for its Baccalaureate Nursing Program. The Program Educational Director is responsible for leadership, curriculum integrity, faculty and student oversight, regulatory compliance, and overall program success for the baccalaureate nursing program, in accordance with Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing (MA BORN) 244 CMR 6.00 regulations, including 244 CMR 6.04 (2)(a). The Program Educational Director also ensures program quality, regulatory compliance, curriculum integrity, adjunct faculty supervision, and effective student learning outcomes. The role includes oversight of adjunct faculty recruitment and evaluation, clinical operations, and external partnership development to ensure adequate clinical placements. The Educational Director will also serve as the ATI Program Manager, ensuring appropriate implementation, benchmarking, and outcomes tracking. This is a 12-month on-campus professional staff position. Solomont School of Nursing Overview: A growing, dynamic, and well-regarded school established in 1968, the Solomont School of Nursing enrolls over 550 nursing students in the BS, RN to BS, Master's, Doctor of Nursing Practice and PhD in Nursing programs and has 19 full-time faculty members. Faculty have diverse interests and conduct research in the areas of health disparities, correctional worker health, occupational health, pediatrics, and women's health.
