IT Support Technician (Desktop / Field Support) We're looking for a hands-on IT Support Technician to join a fast-paced environment supporting end users across hardware, software, and network systems. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working directly with users, and being involved in both day-to-day support and larger IT initiatives.
What You'll Do * Troubleshoot and resolve issues across hardware, software, printers, and network connectivity * Provide deskside and remote support for end users, ensuring timely resolution and strong customer experience * Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment * Support LAN environments, including basic networking, connectivity, and device setup * Perform data backups/restores and assist with system upgrades and migrations * Manage and support Active Directory and Group Policy updates * Install and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and enterprise software (email, internet, etc.) * Assist with network setups, including hardware installs and cabling (terminate, test, and maintain connections) * Coordinate with vendors for escalated issues and ensure follow-through to resolution * Transfer user data and support equipment refreshes and deployments Project & Improvement Work * Partner with users to understand technical needs and recommend solutions * Assist with hardware/software evaluations and procurement recommendations * Support system upgrades and new technology rollouts * Perform testing across systems, applications, and environments * Contribute to documentation, procedures, and IT standards Additional Responsibilities * Conduct inventory tracking of IT equipment and maintain accurate records * Provide training and guidance to users on hardware and software * Help create user documentation, quick guides, and training materials * Participate in continuous improvement of IT processes and tools What We're Looking For * 3+ years of IT support / desktop support experience * Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, hardware, and networking * Experience supporting printers and peripheral devices * Solid customer service and communication skills * Experience working in a fast-paced, ticket-driven environment Nice to Have * Experience with Active Directory / Group Policy * Exposure to network cabling and LAN support * Experience with enterprise tools, software deployments, or system upgrades Top Skills * IT Support * Troubleshooting * Customer Service * Windows / Hardware Support * Network Support *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of Harrisburg, PA. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $30.00/hr.
