Job Description




As a Security Officer Access Specialist in Monroe, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help monitor entry points, verify badges and visitor access, and support daily site operations with strong communication and customer service. This role may include routine patrols, a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and professional interaction with employees, guests, and drivers while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential checks, and visitor processing at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, and document visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal standards.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns.
  • Prepare clear reports of daily activities, access-related events, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues that could impact operations or security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • This is a primarily driving post.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
