CPD Shopper Experience and Logistics/Promotional Display and Packaging (PDP)

About the Role:

The Director of the Promotional Display and Packaging Team (PDP) for Garnier, Thayer's, and SoftSheen Carson (GTS) is a critical role responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of all promotional display programs. This role oversees the entire lifecycle of display production, from initial concept and budgeting to final execution and performance analysis. The Director will collaborate with PEP Promotions, cross-functional partners, and manage external vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality, on-brand displays that drive sales and enhance the consumer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training & Onboarding: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive training program for GTS team members on display processes and ways of working, collaborating with the PEP team during the initial transition and ensuring ongoing maintenance and updates of all training materials for new L'Oreal hires.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate closely with Sales to develop data-driven promotional display strategies that achieve key business objectives. Provide insightful analytics and recommendations to optimize program effectiveness, ensuring maximum ROI and alignment with overall sales goals. Lead strategic initiatives for assigned priorities from the Joint Action Plan, contributing to the overall brand strategy.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the annual budget for GTS promotional displays, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization. Maintain and update finance trackers, collaborating with Commercial Marketing Leads (CMLs) and Brand Finance to validate inputs and ensure baseline accuracy.
  • Program and Timeline Management: Oversee the PEP team to ensure seamless execution of programs. Proactively identify and resolve potential roadblocks, facilitating effective decision-making and providing solutions to emerging issues. Serve as an escalation point for critical program challenges and elevate to senior leadership as needed.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Creative, PEP, and Marketing teams to provide input on collateral efficiency and sustainability. Lead ongoing L4TF workstreams and consult with L'Oreal Procurement and PEP on overall sourcing strategy, catalog updates, and RFP awards. Consult and align on annual baseline updates.
  • L'Oreal for the Future (L4TF): Act as L4TF temporary POS team lead. Align all projects with sustainability principles, train internal teams, and liaise with global committees. Manage the EcoDesign Cloud to guide product decisions, onboard suppliers to our environmental standards, and engineer workflows that integrate sustainability checkpoints into the product lifecycle. Track performance metrics and report progress to executive leadership to ensure we hit our collective L4TF targets.
  • Purchase Order Management: Validate and approve all purchase orders related to GTS display programs.
  • Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels by collaborating with 3PLs and Assembly Planning to identify and repurpose excess inventory, maximizing utilization and minimizing waste.
  • Supplier Management: Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to ensure optimal performance, address challenges proactively, and drive continuous process improvement. Partner with L'Oreal Sourcing to conduct bi-annual supplier performance reviews and identify opportunities for growth. Oversee Direct Ship Display meetings with suppliers, assembly teams, and assembly planning functions. Continuously evaluate new supplier capabilities and integrate them into the L'Oreal network where strategically advantageous.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate existing processes and systems, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance. Develop and implement recommendations for optimization, driving measurable improvements in key performance indicators.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in display production, marketing operations, or a related field within the beauty industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and budgets.
