Pay Rate: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

These are the qualifications that matter.

• High school diploma or GED required
• At least 1 year of experience in diesel engine, mechanical, or electrical repair
• Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with equipment maintenance and testing procedures
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
• Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset
• Ability to operate mechanical tools and testing equipment safely
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Work performed in both shop and field environments, with occasional exposure to outdoor elements

What You'll Do

Maintenance & Repair

• Perform fueling, sanding, and daily inspections of locomotives
• Execute preventive maintenance according to established schedules
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, and air brake systems
• Complete basic mechanical and electrical repairs to maintain equipment performance

Field Service

• Travel locally using company vehicles to perform maintenance in the field
• Conduct visual inspections of locomotives and service vehicles

Documentation & Compliance

• Accurately maintain maintenance logs and records
• Sign off on completed work orders
• Follow all company safety protocols and regulatory guidelines

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with team members to meet operational goals
• Communicate equipment issues and updates to management
• Suggest improvements to processes and procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
