Apex Companies LLC isseekinga highly motivated project engineer who has the desire to step in and lead civil engineering design projects and provide direction to our civil design teams. This position would serve a diverse portfolio of both public and private clients within our existing portfolio and would require individuals who havea strong desireto want to be client facingand outdeveloping relationships in the marketplace. A large majority of our projects are multi-disciplinary and look to incorporate our full breadth of services. This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and be supported by a full suite of engineering and environmental services lines

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive direction on engineering tasks andmaintainactive communication with project managers.
Supportclient satisfaction and ensure that clientobjectivesare met.
Participate in professional organizations and functions.
Effectively manage multiple assignments andprioritize withinput from project managers and professional engineers.
Willingness to work in fast paced environments across multiple engineering disciplines and project types.
Preparation of construction documentsrequiredto construct both public and private infrastructure projects.
Prepare written reports detailingdesignand functionality of stormwater systemsin accordance withlocal andstatestormwater requirements.
Prepare detailed stormwater models.
Prepare utility designs for stormwater, municipalwaterand sewer systems
Design of roadways and preparation of grading analysis for sites.
Deliver engineering design projects using Autodesk Civil 3D software.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor's in civil engineering and professional registration isrequiredor obtainable within2yearsof hire (Washington and/or Oregon)
5+ years' experience as a consulting engineer
A solid understanding of civil design and construction standards, and environmental conditions / constraints.
A proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets.
Familiarity with local code requirements
Flexibility and creativity in engineering approaches
Proficient skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, hydrologymodelingand MS software applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients,staffand management.

Desirable Qualifications

Proficient skills in AutoCAD and Civil 3D highly desired
Obtained Engineer in Training (EIT) license or ability to obtain within one year
Familiarity with Hydro-CAD stormwater modeling software
Relevant internship orpreviousprofessional experience
