Position Summary: JMT has an immediate opening for a talented experienced structural engineer to join our firm. The engineer will be involved in the design of a wide variety of facility / marine projects including commercial projects, as well as municipal, state and federal government structures. Acts as the structural lead within a multi-disciplinary team and responsible for delivering all structural project objectives including scope, schedule, and budget. Acts as a technical advisor to less experienced engineers. The position will involve the management and execution of the entire design process from initial framing plan layout to construction administration. A sound technical background is required. The qualified candidate should possess a high energy level and be a self-motivated engineer who can work within a strong team environment, serving clients on major projects throughout the East Coast. Working Conditions Work is primarily performed in an office setting. Occasional field work at active ports or marine facilities is required and may involve working in outdoor conditions, including exposure to saltwater, marine environments, and varying weather. Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs may be necessary.
