What You'll Do:
- Perform skilled trade work in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance disciplines.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, guest concerns, and emergency situations.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential maintenance issues.
- Operate tools, equipment, and hazardous materials safely, following all MSDS guidelines.
- Complete required documentation and maintenance records for all work performed.
- Assist with dispatch responsibilities and support team workflow as needed.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding job status and operational concerns.
- Execute emergency response procedures in accordance with hotel standards.
- Support special event setup and minor maintenance as required.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-kept work areas and equipment.
- Adhere to hotel policies, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Promote teamwork, safety, and hospitality in all interactions with guests and colleagues.
- Demonstrates regular and reliable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your Experience Includes:
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in maintenance or skilled trades with journey-level responsibilities in a hospitality or hotel maintenance environment, preferred.
- Post-high school training or equivalent education in a maintenance or engineering-related discipline, preferred.
- Certification or additional formal training related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or other trades, preferred.
- Proven background in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or related trades.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining trade-related tools, equipment, and systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical and operational issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset.
- Familiarity with safety standards, MSDS compliance, and hazardous materials handling. Experience with emergency response procedures and routine inspections.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and repair manuals.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, work on ladders, and lift/pull/push 50 plus pounds regularly throughout the shift.
- Flexibility to work on varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
