Client: AI/SaaS Company Role: Engagement Lead - Accounting and Finance Transformation Salary: $185,000 - $240,000/annually Location: New York City (On-site 5 days a week) About the Role: This position sits within a growing team responsible for deploying and operationalizing a finance-focused platform across a diverse set of clients. As a senior-level project lead, you will play a central role in delivering implementations from initial onboarding through full adoption, ensuring each client successfully integrates the platform into their day-to-day operations. You will take ownership of the finance and accounting workstream across multiple engagements simultaneously, partnering closely with senior finance stakeholders to define processes, configure systems, and guide decision-making. The role requires a balance of technical accounting knowledge, project execution, and client-facing communication. Given the fast-paced and evolving environment, you will also contribute to building repeatable implementation frameworks, helping establish best practices and scalable processes as the function grows. Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end delivery of finance and accounting workstreams across multiple active implementations Manage engagements from late-stage onboarding through stabilization and steady-state operations Ensure accuracy, completeness, and readiness of financial processes prior to and after go-live Transition clients smoothly into ongoing platform usage once implementation is complete Partner with finance leaders and accounting teams to assess existing workflows and define improved future-state processes Facilitate key decisions related to system setup, financial structures, and operational workflows Translate business requirements into clear system configurations and actionable plans Oversee hands-on configuration of financial components, including account structures, entities, vendors, and transaction mapping Coordinate closely with clients to collect, review, and validate data inputs Identify inconsistencies or gaps in information and drive resolution to maintain data integrity Prepare clients for system transition, ensuring all data and workflows are ready for launch Support post-launch activities such as reconciliations, validation, and process stabilization Help establish ongoing financial routines, including close processes and reporting cadences Own a seamless transition into fully functioning operations Deliver training sessions, product walkthroughs, and tailored enablement for end users Ensure finance teams are equipped to effectively utilize the platform Proactively address challenges that may impact adoption or user confidence Capture lessons learned and translate them into scalable templates, frameworks, and best practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product capabilities and improve workflows Experience: Background in accounting, finance, or a related field (e.g., accounting operations, consulting, or corporate finance roles) Experience managing complex, client-facing projects or implementations Familiarity with fast-paced or high-growth environments is beneficial Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including general ledger structure, reconciliations, and close cycles Comfortable working with data, systems, and detailed configurations Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across concurrent projects Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships with senior finance stakeholders Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
