Electro Mechanical Fabrication Technician

Tesla is currently seekingElectro Mechanical Fabrication Technicianwho will be dedicated to supporting our manufacturing production projects.This position will report through the production maintenance organization.

• Display a positive attitude and practice strong work ethics that reflect the mission, philosophy and goals of Tesla
• Lead station/tool install/build projects for maintenance and engineering teams. Provide comments/improvements to designs based on experience and field conditions. Support Large Scale Maintenance projects including PMs,machine installs, etc.
• Assist in creation and maintenance of associated documentation.Respond quickly to resolve unanticipated equipment problems
• Troubleshoot root cause of tool errors and substandard performance in a cost-effective manner. This includes butnotlimited to: PLC troubleshooting, electro-mechanical systems, components, electronic sensors and switches
• Work with Production and Manufacturing Engineering team to optimize tool performance and related continuous improvement activities
• Participate and lead tool escalations, tool installations and/or upgrades. Interface effectively with vendors and their field service engineer's onsite or via telephone support
• Attend corporate training and meetings.Support other projects as needed by management as business needs change

• 5+ years of relevant experience in both mechanical and electrical equipment building or modification
• Prior machine builder/integrator experience preferred
• Rigging trainingand experience
• Skilled trades certificate and/or relevant military experience preferred.Associate's degree in engineering or technology is a plus
• Working knowledge of sensors, switches, lasers, dispensers, robotics, and conveyance systems
• Demonstrated safe work practices, able tolift upto 60 lbs.
• Exhibit a positive attitude and effective communication skills
• Ability to travel for up to one week at a time, several times per year

• Equipment Maintenance Technician - $28.80 - $33.52/hour
• Equipment Maintenance Technician - $34.63 - $38.28/hour
• Equipment Maintenance Technician - $37.38 - $43.44/hour

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
