Security Officer Full Time Site Patrol

As a Security Officer Full Time Site Patrol in Edgewater, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this unarmed role, you will embody our agile, reliable, and innovative approach while putting people first, working as a team, and acting with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, support access control practices, and assist with customer and tenant concerns.
• Assist with closing procedures, monitor for after-hours activity, and communicate with local site contacts regarding security-related issues, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
