Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Project Manager (FGP) - Ambulatory Care Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

In this role, the successful candidate in partnership with FGP practice leadership and managers, will assess, design, and lead project initiatives and performance improvement projects (i.e. enhancing patient access, optimizing revenue, implementing new technology solutions to improve efficiency) across FGP practices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with FGP practice leadership and managers to identify areas of focus, and work to implement new initiatives and best practices.
  • Participate in meetings with key stakeholders and FGP leadership on the status of upcoming project initiatives.
  • Collaborates with various stakeholders within and outside of the department, in order to build and promote positive working relationships.
  • Makes independent decisions and recommendations, while creating effective strategy implementation to drive projects to completion.
  • Review and analyze key performance indicators and other data sources (i.e., physician templates, waitlists, FGP front-end scorecard, RVUs, patient experience data, etc.) to determine opportunities for practice optimization and future project opportunities.
  • Manages key components of projects, including but not limited to, analyzing various data points from EPIC and projecting future patterns.
  • Responsible for developing and amending project plans and documentation as needed throughout the project, adapting the approach, timelines and deliverables as needed based on foreseen and unforeseen events to ensure project success.
  • Facilitate and lead meetings and workgroups in partnership with FGP practice leadership and managers, as well as key stakeholders to discuss initiatives and strategize on improving and optimizing practice operations.
  • Responsible for managing project progress to ensure key milestones are met, including ensuring that project participants remain accountable for their deliverables.
  • Analyzes risk using project management tools and identifies alternatives that will eliminate or minimize risk. Works independently to manage risk factors as needed to ensure projects remain on track
  • Responsible to independently manage FGP projects, including scoping out projects, identifying goals and objectives and creating project plans that support various initiatives.
  • Utilize key FGP data elements to help drive effective outcomes and optimal project deliverables.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree (in Business, Health Administration or Related Field) required and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (IPM, Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as a demonstrated ability to interface with senior leadership, faculty, students, staff and other employees of all levels.
  • Ability to identify needs, determine improvements, and implement change.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and extremely organized.
  • Strong planning, problem solving, project, and time management skills required.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and comfort with web-based applications and technologies (Qualtrics, Chronos, MailChimp, Cisco Solutions, Google Applications, PeopleSoft, etc.)
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and contribute as a team member.
  • Ability to manage conflict with grace and tact and to propose creative, win-win solutions required.
  • Candidate should be able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment, support multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritize work to meet and/or exceed established service levels.
  • Candidate should be comfortable with web design applications, content management systems and project management systems, or able to quickly learn.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $101,493.51 - $160,592.39 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
