Job Summary Responsible for leading company-wide fleet activities starting with developing and executing a long-term fleet strategy. Additional responsibilities include the acquisition, maintenance, disposal, and tracking of all business vehicles and related equipment the negotiations and authorization of contracts for fleet purchases and leases, preparing specifications for equipment to be purchased or modified and developing and implementing fleet policies, procedures and processes. This role also oversees the maintenance and repair process of transportation vehicles and for replacement units while vehicles are being repaired. Recommends disposal of vehicles through trade-in or salvage, based on records and inspections. Works with DOT compliance team to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations along with local regulations.
