Position Description
-
Coordinate planning for staffing and other resources and work schedules for staff maintenance or operations in conjunction with other staff. This position may be eligible for future flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work with some days working remotely and some days working in the office. The City of Minneapolis does not sponsor applicants for work visas.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Coordinate with Foreman or Supervisors to allocate appropriate staffing and resources for project
- Estimate time and materials
- Plan and schedule the use of equipment on projects
- Assists in the direction of staff in the determination of appropriate methodology, utility and infrastructure conflicts, project staging, safety equipment, and Division practices used on repair, maintenance, and capital rehabilitation program projects. Participates in and assists with emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings between Supervisors and Foremen to help develop daily, weekly and monthly resource allocation plans.
- Assist with review, coding of financial invoices through EDMS.
- Assist with setting up contracts between vendors, contractors and suppliers and City of Minneapolis buyers.
- Responsible for the collection of as-built information on all repairs done to the sanitary and stormwater systems.
- Develop schedules based on operational priorities, manpower availability and make recommendations to the supervisor.
- Plan equipment and supply needs and then work with the appropriate supervisor to specify and order materials in conjunction with construction timelines, plans, budgets, and replacement needs to ensure timely delivery and availability when needed.
- Track progress for plans and keep the supervisor and management informed through periodic reports.
- Maintain and analyze project activity archives to improve the accuracy of time and material estimates for future repair and construction project activities.
- Serve as the Maximo technical expert for divisional staff. Provide day-to-day end user support for field staff using Maximo remotely.
- Assist Supervisors and Foremen in using Maximo work management computer software to plan and organize activities.
- Facilitate and/or deliver Maximo training to foreman, supervisors and other divisional staff as needed.
- Oversee entries made by Foremen and Supervisors onto the Maximo system to ensure the integrity of the data and functionality of the system.
- Coordinate with asset management engineers to maximize the technical data derived from the Maximo system as it relates to Public Works budget and capital programs.
- Oversee the quality control/quality assurance of Maximo technical data to ensure the accurate reflection of operational considerations for future budgeting and capital programming.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating, Gopher State One calls, permits, and utilities.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum Experience:
- Two years' experience utilizing enterprise asset management software (i.e. SAP PM, Ventyx, Enquesta, Maximo or other EAM software).
Licenses/Certifications: Possess, and continue to maintain, a valid driver's license by the date of hire. Equivalency: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered. Selection Process: The selection process will consist of one or more of the following steps: a rating of relevant education and experience and/or an oral examination (100%). It is important that your application show all the relevant education and experience you possess. This information will be used to determine which candidates will proceed in the selection process. Only those candidates who attain a passing score (70%) on each step in the selection process will be placed on the eligible list. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Trades Licenses are desirable.
- Waste Water License C or above is desirable in water treatment assignment.
- Knowledge of project coordination and planned maintenance programs.
- Experience working with a computerized 'maintenance management' software package to establish plans and schedules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team building skills.
- Computer proficiency including database, word processing, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to coordinate in multi-skilled team based environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of construction practices regarding the installation and repair of sewer infrastructure.
- Ability to compile and record complex data and material.
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed logs and records of work and tests performed.
- Ability to complete emergency response training and perform in emergency situations.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations outside of normal working hours.
