Summary:

Supervision of measurement specialists' proving and measurement duties and coordination with regional operations and engineering groups to ensure industry and Sunoco measurement standards/guidelines are implemented and maintained.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Proactively participates with operations and engineering in project planning, start-up, and operation of measurement related items.

  • Coordinates meter proving schedules with measurement specialists.

  • Assists or performs meter proving and sampling duties as needed.

  • Tracks and documents measurement variances.

  • Investigates and corrects measurement variances

  • Coordinates preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair work on measurement related equipment.

  • Compiles, reviews, and submits end of month closing reports for regional area of responsibility.

  • Provides continuous progression training to measurement technicians and other department personnel.


Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required; advanced education preferred

  • Minimum 8 years of related experience
Experience Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of petroleum and/or chemical products and industry terminology required

  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills required

  • Ability to coordinate effectively and with other personnel, corporate departments, as well as, with external customers required

  • Excellent PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft products required

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to proof work for accuracy

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently, managing time and scheduling to meet appropriate deadlines
