Electroplating Technician Join Penn United Technologies as a Full-Time Electroplating Technician. You'll work alongside a skilled plating team to help set up and maintain electroplating operations, contributing to the production of high-quality products for our customers. - Assist with the efficient setup and maintenance of the plating lines
- Assist with plating and inspection of the parts
- Assist with the preparation of parts for shipping
- Interpret specifications, internal part prints used for part set-up and inspections, and job orders
- Maintain a job tracking system
- Help track and maintain chemical inventories used in the plating process
- Perform visual inspection of all plated products, using a microscope
- Study the production schedule and estimate the requirements for completing an order efficiently and effectively
- Perform work procedures to meet schedules, using knowledge of capacities of the machines and equipment
- Maintain accurate time and production records
- Perform necessary housekeeping duties on the line
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Self-motivated, ability to work effectively under pressure and with a heavy work load
- Able to make quick, effective and accurate decisions
- Solid technical, mechanical and mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout an 8 hour shift
- Must be able to work weekly rotating shifts of daylight, afternoon and midnight shifts
