Job Title - Sr Engineer - Continuous Improvement

Location: North Little Rock, AR

Reports To: Operational Excellence Director

What You Will Do: The Sr. Engineer of Continuous Improvement is responsible for driving the site's operational performance through the intersection of Lean Manufacturing and Digital Transformation. This role leads high-impact projects to optimize processing, filling, and packaging processes and serves as the architect for the site's data-driven decision-making strategy to drive improvement in labor efficiency and material waste reduction.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related technical field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment (cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or food/beverage preferred).
  • Advanced expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) and SAP required.
  • Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) like Apriso or FlexNet is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of solving complex technical issues on automated packaging/filling lines using root cause analysis tools (Fishbone, 5-Why, FMEA).
  • Strong project management and leadership skills with the ability to lead transitions under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate technical data and Lean concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Work independently to identify losses and implement sustainable technical solutions.
  • Serve as the site expert for the deployment and optimization of digital solutions.
  • Possess an analytical mindset to synthesize large datasets into strategic operational plans.
  • Resolve difficult technical issues on automated packaging and filling lines.

The functions of Sr. Engineer, Continuous Improvement include, but are not limited by the following:

  • Operational Excellence & Lean Leadership: Lead complex, cross-functional projects focusing on Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity, and Service; deploy Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, Kaizen, SMED, 5S, VSM) to eliminate waste and optimize automated workflows.
  • Digital Strategy & Data Architecture: Serve as site expert for SAP, Power BI, Solvace, Apriso, FlexNet, and Power Apps; lead the internal packaging performance OEE tool (SPI) strategy and ensure data integrity to drive the technical improvement roadmap.
  • Process Digitalization: Lead the transformation of manual or paper-based manufacturing processes into streamlined digital workflows; partner with Engineering and Maintenance to integrate equipment PLC data with site reporting tools to improve technical loss visibility.
  • Coaching & Culture: Train and mentor the Digital Tools Analyst and site team members on both Lean methodologies and the effective use of digital tools to foster a data-driven, continuous improvement mindset.
  • Auditing & Reporting: Design and oversee advanced Power BI dashboards that provide real-time, actionable insights into downtime, waste, and equipment reliability; identify and quantify "hidden" losses through deep-bottleneck analysis.
  • Standardization: Implement sustainable standard work and digital documentation across all production shifts to ensure measurable increases in line efficiency and reduction in technical downtime.
