Job Summary: The Senior Applications Specialist is a key individual contributor responsible for the successful implementation, configuration, and maintenance of business applications and workflows. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to develop and build best-practice solutions, enhance operational efficiency, and support continuous improvement efforts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop best-practice solutions.
- Build and configure solutions for business process owners using in-house software such as MS365 suite, Smartsheet, PowerBI, and Google Workspace.
- Lead and mentor a junior developers and analysts in delivering scalable solutions.
- Architect and design enterprise-level applications and integrations.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and documentation protocols.
- Evaluate existing applications to reconfigure, update, and add new features, contributing to a "continuous improvement" ideology based on business process owner intake.
- Maintain ongoing project status and documentation to ensure standard operating procedures are met and lessons learned are captured.
- Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and configuration.
- Contribute to maintaining and prioritizing the backlog of tasks and projects.
- Adhere to project plans, timelines, and deliverables, utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and established standards for application configuration and maintenance.
- Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep knowledge and skills current.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application issues and support requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements (Education, Work Experience, Skills, etc.):
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, information systems) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in application development and system integration.
- Proven leadership experience in leading technical teams and projects.
- Advanced expertise in business system architecture and enterprise application design.
- Understanding of business system applications, configuration, and maintenance.
- Ability to solve complex problems using critical thinking, at times independently, and often to seek out help from team members to collaborate on innovative solutions.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Expert knowledge with VBA for Excel, Microsoft Power BI, Smartsheet, and Google Workspace
- Expert knowledge with no-code/low-code development platforms.
- Strong data analysis, design, and application testing skills.
- Familiarity with sales and accounting data reporting, ERP platforms
- Experience with developing AI prompts for Gemini and Copilot
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility Level: No direct reports Hours: This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday. Work hours begin and end between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm with a one-hour break for lunch and two rest breaks. Eight hours per day is required and other occasional overtime may be necessary for business needs. Physical Demands:
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Prolonged sitting. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch.
Competitive Wages: $106,000 to $143,000 Annual Salary. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others.
