The Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging (HNRCA) at Tufts University is an internationally recognized leader in the study of nutrition and its role in healthy aging. Our multidisciplinary research spans molecular biology, clinical trials, epidemiology, behavioral science, and data science. The HNRCA is committed to developing precision nutrition strategies that optimize health span and functional independence in diverse aging populations. What You'll Do

This is a grant funded position and is not eligible for severance pay.
The Project Administrator supports a team of HNRCA scientists who are part of the HNRCA's Research Directives. Coordinates and manages project timelines and deliverables, organizes research team progress meetings, and monitors the team's progress toward deliverables. Creates data management and filing systems; develops, analyzes, and monitors budgets, grants, and contracts; coordinates the preparation and submission of required materials for the Institutional Review Board (IRB), aids in literature searches and reviews, and drafts reports and results. The Project Administrator will supervise temporary employees working with HNRCA scientists, coordinating the hiring and training of temporary help.
  • In collaboration with and within the policies of the HNRCA Bioinformatics and Data Management core, develops data management and filing systems, oversees entry and maintenance of data, and develops data collection forms or other materials
  • Oversees and analyzes budgets and prepares reports and projections; participates in budget development
  • Coordinates the preparation and submission of required materials for the Institutional Review Board (IRB)
  • Provides ideas and content for meetings, seminars, lectures and other special events
  • Conducts literature reviews in collaboration with HNRCA scientists
  • Responsible for hiring and training of temporary staff, evaluates workflow and productivity, and provides input into employee performance reviews; supervises students and student workers

What We're Looking For

Basic Requirements:
Knowledge and experience typically acquired by:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline or aMaster's Degree
  • 3+ years of related experience (with Bachelor's degree) or1-2 years related experience (with Master's degree)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in related field of study (with Master's degree)

Pay Range

Minimum $60,000.00, Midpoint $75,000.00, Maximum $90,100.00

Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
