*Overview* The Connect Ambassador plays a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience within the Connect center. This individual serves as the first point of contact for customers, providing guidance, answering questions, and directing them to appropriate self-service options or Connect Specialists based on their needs.
This role offers exposure to daily operations, organizational goals, and customer engagement strategies. The Ambassador will collaborate across teams, support events and programs, and contribute to community outreach initiatives while developing strong customer service and teamwork skills. *Key Responsibilities* *Customer Experience & Support (Approximately 65%)* * Serve as the primary point of contact by welcoming customers and assessing their needs * Respond to basic customer inquiries in a clear and professional manner * Manage customer flow within the facility to ensure a smooth and efficient experience * Assist customers with payment processes * Partner with team members to escalate and resolve customer concerns as needed * Provide general support to staff and assist with additional customer service tasks as assigned *Community Engagement & Event Support (Approximately 35%)* * Assist with planning, setup, and breakdown of internal and external events * Support team operations during extended outage or high-demand situations * Contribute to the development of workshops, seminars, and community programs * Help open and close the facility, ensuring systems are properly shut down and secured * Collect and track feedback and data from community events to measure effectiveness * Educate customers on available energy efficiency programs and assist with enrollments when applicable *Qualifications & Skills* *Required Skills* * Strong customer service and communication skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail * Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment * Professional demeanor with sound judgment * Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team *Preferred Qualifications* * Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred * Previous administrative or customer-facing experience *Ideal Candidate* * Outgoing, personable, and customer-focused * Self-motivated with a proactive mindset * Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, schedules, and responsibilities * Committed to delivering a positive customer experience *Experience Level* * Entry-level; ideal for candidates looking to grow in customer service, operations, or community engagement roles *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, MO. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
