Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Torrance CA
Employment Type: Full-Time Direct Hire
Compensation: $25.00-$35.00/hr DOE
Schedule: 9x80, First Shift (starting at 6AM)
Acara Solutions is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical assemblies.
Responsibilities
  • Perform in-process and final inspections per IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, customer specifications, and internal procedures.
  • Inspect solder joints, SMT and through-hole components, and mechanical assemblies using microscopes and precision measuring tools.
  • Verify products meet drawings, specifications, work instructions, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Review production documentation, maintain material traceability, and accurately record inspection results.
  • Identify, document, and process nonconforming material (NCRs) and support root cause/corrective action activities.
  • Use ERP/MES systems to complete inspection buy-offs, retrieve documentation, and maintain audit-ready records.
  • Ensure compliance with ESD, FOD, safety, and quality standards.

What You'll Bring:
  • 3 years minimum experience with quality inspection of electronic and mechanical assemblies.
  • 3 years minimum experience with IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, ESD controls, and circuit board solder inspection.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Proficient using microscopes, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience determining hardware compliance to specifications and quality standards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and database systems.
  • Experience with comparators or CMM is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
