Supply Planning Manager


Locations: Hodgkins, IL | Holyoke, MA | Charlotte, NC


Position Summary


We are seeking an experienced Supply Planning Manager to lead supply planning, inventory management, and cross-functional planning activities across our North American operations. This role is responsible for balancing demand, supply, inventory, and capacity to ensure strong customer service, efficient inventory investment, and operational performance.


The ideal candidate brings expertise in Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Optimization, Production Planning, IBP/S&OP, Analytics, and Continuous Improvement and is passionate about using data to drive business results.


Key Responsibilities


Supply Planning & Inventory Management



  • Develop and execute short-, mid-, and long-term supply plans.
  • Manage inventory levels to meet service, cost, and working capital goals.
  • Balance supply and demand through capacity planning and inventory optimization.
  • Identify and mitigate supply risks, shortages, and excess inventory.
  • Lead monthly Supply Review meetings as part of the IBP/S&OP process.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Demand Planning, and Commercial teams.


Analytics & Performance Management



  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct scenario planning, capacity analysis, and inventory optimization.
  • Develop dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI and Excel.
  • Monitor key KPIs including:


    • Inventory Turns
    • Days of Supply (DOS)
    • Service Levels / Fill Rate
    • Forecast Accuracy
    • Capacity Utilization
    • Inventory Health
    • Backorders and Stockouts


  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning efficiency and performance.


Leadership & Collaboration



  • Lead cross-functional planning activities and process improvements.
  • Promote planning best practices, governance, and standard processes.
  • Support strategic initiatives including product launches, network optimization, and supply chain transformation projects.

Qualifications

Required



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Planning, Production Planning, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain Planning.
  • Experience with IBP, S&OP, or Integrated Planning processes.


Preferred



  • 3+ years of leadership or people management experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, packaging, industrial products, chemicals, or consumer goods.
  • Master's degree (MBA or related field).
  • APICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD).
