Job Summary: |
The Morrison Laboratory at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is a dynamic, fast-paced research laboratory focused on viral immunology and medical countermeasure development (i.e., therapeutics and vaccines). We seek a new team member to take a lead role in performing cutting-edge experimental science focused on the development of new vaccines and antiviral drugs. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic group of scientists and develop key research skills. In addition, opportunities exist to learn state-of-the-art research techniques at the forefront of infectious disease research. Key Responsibilities:
Perform rigorously designed and executed in vitro and in vivo experiments. Analyze and report research findings. Maintain detailed records of all research-related activities.

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
PhD degree in biology, chemistry, immunology or related field. Five (5) years professional level research experience. The candidate must have experience with virological assays and cell culture assays.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of basic laboratory safety procedures. Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the laboratory and institution. Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information. Organization and time-management skills.
