Compensation for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set. Only applicants that currently reside within a 50-mile radius of Brandon, MS will be considered for this role. This role is fully on site. As the Manager, Field Operations, you'll manage all aspects of the third-party operations on behalf of the customer and serve as a liaison and main point of contact between the customer and third-party carriers. What you'll do on a typical day: Monitor, track, and evaluate LCC carrier performance to key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics Responsible for leading LCC carrier management to establish countermeasures and improvement plans are created and executed and follow up with carrier regarding progress being made to these countermeasures Lead on-site LCC carrier activities to include 12 - 16 by 5 coverage for all issues not limited to natural disasters, operation shutdowns, business continuity plans, etc. Create standardized work procedures (SOS/JES) for LCC activities Educate, train, and monitor LCC carrier execution to standardized work Perform process audits and lead various carrier performance reviews Provide reporting for LCC performance metrics to appropriate leadership Work with the customer to establish strategies for continuous improvement of the consolidation centers Lead value stream mapping activities and creates LCC process flow diagrams Review weekly logistics consolidation center invoice submission for validity and first level approval of invoices in excess of $330K/week and $17M/year Identify cost savings of $100K/annual in LCC projects Participate in network carrier transitions that consist of weeklong assignments away from home Work across two shifts with LCC Operations ending at 1830 EST at least one/afternoon evening per week At a minimum, you'll need: 4 years of logistics or transportation experience Demonstrated group presentation skills and excellent negotiation skills to deal effectively with individuals and groups within and outside the organization Strong Fluency of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint It'd be great if you also have: Problem Solving Skills and attention to detail.
