Location:Largo, FL Job Summary
The Engineering Manager will lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of plant operations. This role oversees engineering activities, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, safety standards, and manufacturing capabilities. The manager will also serve as a key liaison between product development, maintenance and operations, to drive innovation, efficiency, and product excellence. Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a team of engineers setting clear goals and fostering professional growth * Oversee the design of HV wire and cable products, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, industry standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, UL), and internal quality benchmarks * Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes including drawing, stranding, extrusion, and jacketing, with a focus on efficiency, cost reduction, and sustainability * Manage engineering projects from concept to implementation, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope * Work closely with manufacturing, R&D, quality assurance, and modernization teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions * Promote adoption of new technologies and eco-friendly solutions such as high-pressure fluid-filled retrofit cables * Ensure all engineering activities adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and corporate policies Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree:Engineering or equivalent technical degree 5-7 Years of Experience:Engineering or Project Management Preferred Education & Experience
8-11 Years of Experience Spans of Control
